Dr. Héctor Campos, lawyer of Estudio Linares, was one of the speakers at the V International Congress XII National Congress of Civil Law, which took place from June 16 to 18. The topic of Dr. Campos’ presentation was “Compensation and indemnity: Peruvian legislative terminology in matters of indemnity protection”.
“In the presentation it was proposed that indemnity is a polysemic concept, for which it is possible to distinguish in the Peruvian legal system between indemnity compensation and non-compensatory compensation. Consequently, indemnity is not a concept that can be equated to compensation, but rather they have a relationship of genus to species”, says Héctor Campos.
The V International Congress XII National Congress of Civil Law was organized by the Peruvian Institute of Civil Law and sponsored by Telefónica. The event took place in the Auditorium of Telefónica del Perú, in Cercado de Lima.
